Back in 2007, Pete Townshend, working with mathematician and composer Lawrence Ball and software engineer Dave Snowdon, launched an ambitious music and software project, The Lifehouse Method.
I was one of the ten thousand or so fortunate few to participate in the experiment as a “sitter.”
My Lifehouse Method portrait is now up my SoundCloud page, https://soundcloud.com/billforth
The music was generated by software based on the photo at left and various other pieces of information collected for the sitting.
I think it’s an amazing piece of music and I plan to revisit it and develop some sections.
Thank you, Pete Townshend. By the way, I am a Townsend (no "h") on my mother's side.
The Lifehouse Method has been concluded and is now offline, but you can read all about it on PT’s site.
